Ramblin' with Riverhorse: Unnamed Haiku

New for 2019 on the Lowcountry Lowdown: Ramblin' with Riverhorse

Riverhorse Nakadate has become one of our many good friends over here at Flood Tide Co. A writer & teacher by trade, Riverhorse has found himself traveling across the country and world writing for publications like the Fly Fish Journal, Fretboard Journal, and much more. Even his social media posts are elegantly written and strikingly beautiful. Riverhorse is the embodiment of a Ramblin' Man. Up before sunrise, coffee in hand, canoe in the truck bed, ready for wherever the road takes him.

Riverhorse will be providing us with anything from poems, short stories, haikus, whatever his heart desires. Enjoy!

Unnamed Haiku

A winter day.

Waning morning.  This lost forest

lake.  Everything below the surface,

for now.  I will kiss you in the spring

here, again and again.  That’s a

promise~
